DECALIA strengthens its business development team in German-speaking Switzerland with the arrival of Marcus Kirschner
DECALIA Asset Management has hired Marcus Kirschner to ensure the development of its asset management activities in German-speaking Switzerland. Following the arrival in May 2019 of Bernhard Utiger as Head of Development for the region, DECALIA thus continues its expansion in Switzerland. In just a few years, DECALIA has launched several innovative strategies, with thematic funds and private markets solutions providing an effective offering for the changing investment environment.
Marcus Kirschner has over 6 years of experience in the sale of investment solutions, notably with family offices, banks and other financial institutions. Prior to joining DECALIA, he worked at AMG – Affiliated Managers Group, a US “multi-boutique” asset management company where he was a member of the European Distribution Team and responsible for distributing Private Markets-, Equity- and Hedge Fund- solutions. Marcus Kirschner started his career working at a long/short equity manager.
Xavier Guillon, Partner and Head of DECALIA Funds said: “The expansion of our sales team bears witness of our commitment to the region. Marcus Kirschner’s experience in the sale of funds and alternative strategies will be very useful in strengthening our presence in German-speaking Switzerland.”
Marcus Kirschner added: “There is still an unsatisfied demand for thematic and private market strategies such as those developed by DECALIA. I am looking forward to the opportunity to promote them in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.”
DECALIA: A real innovation leader
DECALIA develops investment strategies around four themes considered promising in the long term: new consumer trends, the quest for yield, disintermediation in the banking sector and market inefficiency. In an industry marked by standardization, DECALIA has established a solid credibility as an innovator. Indeed, DECALIA has broken new ground by launching the first equity fund focused on the Millennials, the first equity fund dedicated to the Circular Economy, and Varia Decalia Swiss Realtech, an innovative Swiss real estate fund focused on the changes brought about by the digital transformation of the economy.
It has also developed several exclusive partnerships to offer investment solutions in alternative credit, for example in the media sector.
